This section is aimed at helping you decide how to structure your Safety Management Plan (SMP). Often one of the hardest things can be organising your information in a useful way.
The more plans you can look at the more ideas you will have to help you find a style that suits. To help you with this operators have contributed parts of their plans to this section. While they are not saying that they have the perfect solution, they are sharing what works well for them. The Index pages in particular will give you a good idea of how they have approached the overall structure of their plans. The sample content areas will show you how they have structured information within the plan itself. Please note that while you may not see everything listed in an index or content area that you feel should be there - as you are not seeing the detail of the full plan you should not assume that the information concerned has been missed.
There is no right or wrong way to structure your plan. Critically it must work well for you and your team, and suit the complexity of your operation.
This section will be refreshed regularly in order to share as many ideas and as much information as possible. If you would like to contribute to this forum please contact us.
